Configure the call to action button in your knowledge base header

Before you start creating content for your knowledge base you will want to set up the main call to action (CTA) button that shows in your knowledge base header.

Configure the main call to action (CTA) button that shows in your knowledge base header/toolbar:

  1. Click on the "Main CTA" button in the knowledge base header

  2. Use the "Configure Main CTA" pop-up to configure your main CTA button, setting the label text, styling and URL

  3. Click the "Save Changes" button

  4. Click the "Preview" button in the page header to preview your knowledge base in a new tab

  5. Confirm that the main CTA button looks as expected in terms of the label and colouring

  6. Click on the main CTA button

  7. Confirm that the expected URL opens in a new tab

  8. Return to the knowledge base editor

  9. Click the "Publish" button to publish your knowledge base

  10. Click the "Live Version" button in the page header to open your live knowledge base

  11. Repeat steps 5-7 to confirm the main CTA button looks as expected and opens the correct URL on the live version of your knowledge base

You can edit your main CTA at any time by repeating the steps above and publishing your knowledge base to make the changes live.
